Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of http://therustictablecompany.uk and any order you place with us. Please read them carefully before purchasing.
1. About us
This site is operated by The Rustic Table Company Ltd. You can contact us by email at hello@therustictable.com.
2. Definitions
"We", "us", "our" mean The Rustic Table Company Ltd. "You" means the person placing an order. "Goods" means the furniture you order. "Contract" means the contract between you and us for the supply of Goods.
3. Placing an order
By placing an order you confirm you are at least 18 and resident in the United Kingdom. Your order is an offer to buy. We accept your offer (and a binding contract is formed) only when we send you an order confirmation email. We may decline an order — for example if a Good is unavailable, the price was incorrectly listed, or we cannot deliver to your address — and in that case we will refund any payment in full.
4. Made-to-order goods
All of our furniture is handcrafted to your specifications. By placing an order, you acknowledge that the right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply, save where the Goods are faulty or do not conform to the contract. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected. See our Returns & Refunds page for full detail.
5. Price & payment
All prices on the site are in pounds sterling (GBP) and are stated VAT-free as we are not currently VAT-registered. Delivery to mainland UK is free; other UK destinations are quoted on request (see Delivery). Payment is taken in full at the time of order. We reserve the right to correct any obvious pricing errors before the contract is formed.
6. Delivery
Lead times and delivery options are described on our Delivery page. Risk in the Goods passes to you on delivery; ownership passes once we have received payment in full and you have received the Goods.
7. Faulty or damaged Goods
If your Goods are faulty, damaged in transit, or not as described, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery for visible damage, or as soon as reasonably possible for any other fault. We will repair, replace or refund in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
8. Solid timber characteristics
Solid wood is a natural material. Variations in grain, colour, knots and small movement are inherent and are not defects. We supply a care guide with each piece.
9. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, our total liability for any Contract is limited to the price you paid for the Goods under that Contract. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, or any indirect or consequential loss.
10. Privacy
We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Events outside our control
We are not liable for delays or failures in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including supplier failure, transport disruption, or extreme weather. Where such an event materially affects your order we will keep you informed and, where appropriate, offer a refund.
12. Governing law
These terms and any Contract are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in this clause affects your rights as a consumer to bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK in which you live.
13. Complaints & ADR
If you have a complaint, please email hello@therustictable.com and we will do our best to resolve it within 14 days.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your Contract is the version on the site at the date your order is accepted.
